The centre respects the highest operating standards of the IT&C industry and offers a suitable and flexible area for this line of work.

 

Over 550 professionals are working in the new centre, offering services in seven languages, 24/7, to over 20 companies worldwide. In the last three months, 65 persons joined the team and another 75 positions are available at this moment as a result of the contracts the company recently signed. The job profiles sought at this moment are: service analysts, service engineers, fulfilment engineers, database analysts, service performance engineers, technical support engineers, team managers and service operations managers.

 

In order to train the centre’s future professionals, Alcatel-Lucent has introduced for approximately five years now a special course within Timisoara Polytechnics University’s curricula. The partnership with technical faculties in Timisoara will continue, and the courses will be updated in order to meet the transformations that are taking place in the network management domain.

They always entailed the management of networks on discrete platforms, but the future belongs to network virtualization and the management of this virtual space through special solutions. Our new centre in Timisoara has the entire infrastructure needed to offer customized solutions to our clients,” emphasized Friedrich Trawoeger, President Alcatel-Lucent Managed Services.

 

In his turn, Alcatel-Lucent Romania General Manager Raoul Ros pointed out: “Within the Timisoara centre we can help telecom operators offer a level of quality and efficiency as high as possible and offer their clients the best experience. The new campus is also a confirmation of our intention to be industry leaders, offering the network operations centre’s teams a flexible work environment suitable to standards of quality, while at the same time preparing to manage the virtual networks of the future.”
