"Our company makes considerable efforts to optimize logistics flows, and the relocation of the warehouse in Târgu Mureș, a new hub for the Transylvania area, is the next step in the consolidation of the Cargus strategy. Considering the growing volumes, a larger and more modern warehouse was a necessity, our plans being oriented towards operational efficiency", said Nelu Gheorghiță, Chief Operations Officer Cargus.

The new warehouse, located in a strategic area of Mureș County, covers an area of over 4,500 square meters, double that of the previous location. In addition to generous storage spaces, the new facility includes offices, parking spaces and provides modern infrastructure to support the increased flow of activity.

The new warehouse is equipped with advanced technology, including an automated reweighing and sorting system. These innovative technological solutions will significantly contribute to the efficiency of operational processes, both in terms of reception (inbound) and delivery (outbound) of parcels. Sorting capacity has improved by 40% compared to the previous location, reaching 1,700 parcels processed/hour.

It should be noted that the relocation will allow the operational window to be extended by 1.5 hours, providing more time for parcel management. In addition, in the outbound stage, the new facility will lead to the consolidation of the sorting process in multiple directional cages, thus contributing to the relief of other facilities, including the Cargus hub in Brașov, but also to the improvement of the entire operational flow.
