Through this strategic expansion move, Continental will improve internal processes, whether related to storage capacity, capacity and diversification of the production process or the company's logistics infrastructure.
According to Irina Szekeres, General Manager of ContiTech in Timisoara, the company also relies on ecological sustainability and well-being for employees, through the development and application of new technologies, in which caring for nature becomes an important direction, aimed at reducing fuel consumption in products manufactured, but also reducing carbon emissions.
Continental owns two factories in the city of Timisoara, in which investments in the last decade have exceeded 50 million euros. In total, the surface of the Continental production units in Timisoara exceeds 70,000 square meters.
Another important aspect of Continental's activity in Romania is represented by research and development, this segment will be relocated to the new headquarters.
