High school pupils from Dragomiresti, Bolintin, Ciorogarla etc. will visit CTPark Bucharest and CTPark Bucharest West and will learn directly from CTP’s clients more about their activity and their employment offers. The first set of meetings will take place on November 20th and 21st and will be integrated in the national program “A different school”. Seven of CTP’s clients and approximately 100 pupils from Dimitrie Bolintineanu high school will participate in the first phase of this project.
„CTP is deeply involved in projects aimed to benefit the local community where we established our activities. This initiative was taken because we observed a double issue: high schools and technical schools graduates from the areas surrounding Bucharest find it hard to work in satisfactory positions on long-term, so they choose to either leave the country or accept seasonal or temporary jobs. In the same time, our clients have difficulties in finding stable and trustworthy workforce. I think that the main accomplishment of organizing these meetings will be the development of the local community by encouraging the young graduates to work in their birth localities and to develop professionally in serious and stable companies. Thereby these areas will develop not only on the industrial level, but also on the residential one. This is a very important project for us and we will continue it in the future”, stated Mrs. Ana Dumitrache, Co-Country Head of CTP Romania.
The project began on October 30th with a round table where representatives of Dimitrie Bolintineanu high school met with a part of CTP’s tenants from CTPark Bucharest and CTPark Bucharest West. The purpose of that encounter was to establish a long-term partnership. In the near future CTP aiming at increasing the number of companies and high schools situated in the proximity of the two logistic parks owned by the developer in the Western part of Bucharest. Currently, 7 tenants from different fields of activity such as transport and logistics, retail, data management and protection, electronic-IT distribution, participate in this project. These companies are, as following: DSV, Network One Distribution (NOD), Iron Mountain, Ekol Logistics, cargo-partner, Profi Rom Food, Lagermax AED Romania.
The first phase of the project will take place on November 20th and 21st when approximately 100 pupils from Dimitrie Bolintineanu high school will visit the parks and the warehouses of the companies that participate in this program and will learn more about their activity in order for a better understanding of the logistics segment. The students will have the opportunity to get accustomed with the working environment and to find out what are the job offers. CTP will provide the transport of the students and their teachers and the visit will take place between 09.00 and 13:00 in both days. The tenant’s representatives will have an hour to present important information regarding their work, the dynamics from a logistics park and they will also answer to the question that the students might ask.
This project will consist in a long-term series of activities dedicated to high school students. CTP will also organize workshops where they will have the opportunity to learn practical aspects about what working in logistics implies. The industrial developer is keen to help students to find out useful details directly from the source, because currently in Romania you cannot obtain a logistics specialization in high school or university.
