CTP, the largest developer and administrator of industrial and logistics spaces listed on the stock exchange in Continental Europe, is expanding its collaboration with the Kuehne+Nagel Group, one of the most important logistics service providers in the world, already a tenant in CTP portfolio.
The lease transaction of more than 50,000 square meters within CTPark Bucharest West is another confirmation of the transformation of this place into a regional hub, as goods will be shipped not only to Romania, but also to Bulgaria and Greece.
"Romania has a major development potential in the operational and logistics sector at the regional level, and this partnership confirms the trend and evolution of CTPark Bucharest West as a regional distribution hub, alongside all the parks in our portfolio. This partnership, which offered our client the opportunity to triple the area already occupied in the park confirms once again that our constant investment plan creates opportunities and offers our clients flexibility and solutions adapted to business needs, whether it is developments on the local market or in the region" said Ana Dumitrache, Country Head, CTP Romania.
Kuehne+Nagel has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with Pepco. The European-based company is a leading fast-growing retailer offering clothing for the whole family and household products at very low prices and has been present on the Romanian market since 2015.
Starting in 2023, the partnership with Pepco involves warehousing and automation services for end-to-end distribution for Romania, Bulgaria and Greece, with over 50,000 m2 of storage space. More than 250 employees will work at the location, and daily operations will be assisted by a state-of-the-art sorting device.
The rental transaction was brokered by the real estate consulting company JLL Romania.
"We are honored to support Pepco and Kuehne+Nagel in this landmark transaction and are glad to have found in CTP a true partner who values the needs of its customers and strives to constantly adapt to them. We appreciate the trust they have placed in us -o during this project, which represents a vote of confidence from some of the most active players in the retail and logistics sectors and sends a strong positive signal regarding the dynamism of the industrial market" said Viorel Opaiț, Business Developer Director, JLL Romania.
Located on the A1 highway, at km 23, CTPark Bucharest West is the largest industrial park in Europe and has a leasable area of over 774,000 sqm to date. The park offers the best quality of life for its customers and the more than 2,000 employees who work for the companies present in the park, including medical services, a restaurant, a cafe and relaxation areas. In addition, people working in the park can benefit from the services provided in the Clubhaus, a sustainable and high-tech space of over 1300 m2, which received the BREEAM Outstanding certification, and which functions as a platform for educational events, featuring a multi-purpose amphitheater , but also meeting rooms and relaxation spaces, where customers can organize workshops and trainings.
Technically, the park offers high-quality, energy-efficient buildings and modern construction standards. All buildings are 12m high and designed as monobloc structures, which facilitates the installation of automations that create commercial and operational efficiencies. In addition, the storage spaces are also equipped with the necessary electrical capacity to support these automations, to be supplemented by solar panels, which will bring further energy cost efficiencies. The technical infrastructure as well as the quality of life in the park, which works as a magnet for the workforce, the immediate availability of space and the reliability of CTP as a partner were important arguments for the decision-maker who chose CTPark Bucharest West.
