Dunwell Industrial Brokerage successfully completed in the second half of this year the intermediation of new logistics transactions located in Bucharest and the country. Dunwell customers are in very different areas (transport and logistics, retail, food), all of which have a common point: the need for modern, energy-efficient class A logistics spaces located in areas of interest.
The most important owners of the logistic parks in which these spaces are located include CTP, the largest developer and long-term administrator of premium industrial and logistics parks in Romania and Central and Eastern Europe, Logicor, which has the Europe's largest network of logistics and industrial parks and WDP, the leading developer of industrial and logistics facilities in the markets of Belgium and the Netherlands.
A first example is the transaction brokered by Dunwell between DHL Freight, the German road haulage division of DHL, and CTP. DHL, part of the world leader in postal and logistics, Deutsche Post DHL Group, will occupy a 2.400 sqm warehouse space in CTPark Bucharest, at 13 km of the A1 motorway, in the immediate vicinity of the capital. The building that houses this storage facility is Class A, being newly built by CTP according to the highest quality and innovation standards for energy efficiency and has a total area of 20,000 sqm.
"The market for logistics and industrial spaces is constantly developing in Romania. The vacancy of existing spaces is, as is well known, very small, the demand being constant. Developers are building new premises at higher and higher standards, both speculative and at the request of existing or new tenants, such as Opsan. The increase is also due to the strong growth of the online retail sector, but we also witness significant increases in transported volumes, as confirmed by the expansion of DHL's logistics facilities in Romania", said Marian Orzu, Managing Partner Dunwell.
Another example is the Polish group Citronex, one of Europe's largest banana importers and distributors. The new entrant on the Romanian market has signed an agreement for the use of a 2,500 sq m space for its operations in the logistics park Log IQ Timisoara owned by Logicor.

"Brokered transactions this summer, both completed and those that are still in work, have required us quite a lot, but that is what we are happy about. Our forecasts are confirmed, in the second half of 2018, the market proving to be very active, with an ascending, encouraging evolution. This gives us the certainty that we will reach our main goal of reaching the end of this year at a 10% market share", concluded Marian Orzu. (source: Dunwell)
