In 2021, at the heart of the strategy developed by the current management team of Ekol International Logistics, coordinated since March 2021 by Cătălin Gherghiţă, as Country Manager, is the increase of visibility of these business lines among customers in several industries, such as retail, FMCG, automotive, textile, home appliances or e-commerce.
Today, Ekol offers customers a storage area of 12,000 sqm, respectively two warehouses of 6,000 m² each, class A, strategically located near Bucharest, on the A1 highway at km 23. The most recent of them was opened in 2017. The warehouse has 9 loading docks, two access ramps, a storage capacity of 10,000 europallets, a height of 12 meters and benefits from a security system, which uses CCTV and software at international standards, Quadro (for road transport) and Rainbow WMS (for storage), developed entirely by the research and development team of the Ekol group.
The warehouse has been designed to meet the high security requirements required to obtain TAPA certification. Ekol also offers customers a dedicated web platform, which gives them real-time visibility into stocks. This is called a Quadronet and provides real-time information about stocks in warehouses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Ekol aims to increase its turnover by 50% in the next three years, and the growth strategy is very much based on the development of the mentioned services. The company ended 2020 with a turnover of over 11 million euros.
"We are ready to meet the diverse needs of customers in FMCG & Non Food, retail, e-commerce, automotive, textiles or other industries with a wide range of personalized services: customs services, warehousing, picking and supply stores, cross docking or national distribution in 24-48 hours. To these are added a series of value-added services, starting with labeling, repackaging, creating promotional packages for occasional needs and ending with services in the field of return management. Ekol International Logistic also offers road, air and sea transport services", details Cosmin Secrețianu, the Logistics Manager of the company.
"We have an ambitious growth strategy and a work plan to achieve results. We are primarily looking for long-term partnerships because in logistics it is quite difficult without predictability. We do not exclude one-off collaborations, but we especially target customers who have standardized operations. In logistics, if you do not have standardized operations, then the costs increase exponentially. Online commerce also has a very interesting potential, especially since we can integrate B2B platforms, but also B2C online ordering platforms with our work systems. We want to further develop value-added operations to become even more profitable. Ekol's global experience in the field of logistics is an important argument in front of new customers ", concluded Cătălin Gherghiţă.
