Germany’s Nexans Autoelectric concern will build in Targu-Jiu, on a 4-hectare plot of land, a plant that will manufacture automotive cable for Daimler, Agerpres informs. The investors will lease for 49 years a plot of land owned by the Targu-Jiu city hall.
The Targu-Jiu city hall’s leadership will sign later this week the contract with the representatives of Germany’s Nexans Autoelectric. The investment in the future automotive wire and cables plant will generate approximately 2,000 new jobs, Targu-Jiu Mayor Florin Carciumaru stated on Monday.
According to him, works on introducing utilities in the area where the plant will be built will start in the following months, while the construction of the plant will start in September. The plant should be inaugurated by the end of the year.
“We are 99.9 per cent close to signing the lease contract with the German partner. This will happen this week. From the moment we sign the lease for the 4-hectare plot of land we will start works on introducing utilities. We will improve the access road, we will introduce water and sewerage networks and the electricity network. It will be more difficult when it comes to the natural gas supply network, but this problem will be sorted out too. The City Hall’s obligation, according to the contract, is to finalize the utilities works by September. The German investors will have to obtain the necessary permits. At the same time, they will have to start construction works in September or even earlier, with the cable plant set to be completed by the end of 2015,” Florin Carciumaru said. (source: nineoclock.ro)
