Iulian Sorescu, associate partner of the financial consulting company Noerr Finance&Tax, at the Foreign Investors’ Forum declared on Tuesday that companies which offer facilities in Romania want to develop and the mentioned trends are visible for the next 2-3 years.

Sorescu said that state aid was visible in the number and size of production units opened or extended in recent years.

“While five years ago people in the automobile industry were reticent to discussions or accepting subsidies offered by Romanian authorities, now the trend was the reverse, companies are interested in receiving facilities from the government. In the last 6-7 years, about 70 companies received state aid in the production sector, an 60% are from the automobile industry,” the financial consultant said.

Sorescu pointed out that companies are now mostly interested in investing in the central part of the country while others are interested in Moldova.   (source: actmedia.eu)
