The new production capacity will be built in the vicinity of the existing one in Ploiesti, an investment started by the company in 2006, which is currently having 630 employees. Calsonic Kansei produces in Romania Radiators for cooling systems, intercoolers, heaters and air conditioning systems.

The automotive industry is the sector that covers the largest share of Romanian exports with a 10% contribution to the national GDP, the minister says.

Growth prospects are clear and as a business minister they aim to facilitate the multiplication of investments by increasing the investment footprint of the current companies operating in this area and by attracting new investors in this performing sector", said Alexandru Petrescu.
