The main five industrial parks in Braşov total rentable areas of more than 310,000 sq. m, namely 85 pct of the total modern stock of industrial spaces in the city, according to a study made by the real estate consultant CBRE.
The total stock of modern industrial spaces in Braşov, with an area of 360,000 sq. m represents approx. 35 pct. of the stock existing in Bucharest.
Most of the industrial parks are located in western or north-eastern part of the city and have tenants such as Eldon, DHL, Preh or Coca Cola.
The larger industrial park in Braşov is the one in Prejmer, developed by the Spanish Graells&Lonch, with an area of 181,000 sq. m and tenants such as Eldon or DHL. The county also includes industrial parks such as Braşov Industrial Park, developed by ICCO on 72,000 sq. m, with tenants such as Preh, or WDP Codlea, developed by WDP, with an area of 6,000 sq. m and clients such as Inter Cars.
„We chose to develop our own industrial park in the centre of Romania due to the constant growing request of logistics solutions from the tenants present in this area. The main aspects involved in this decision are the future airport in Brasov and the road infrastructure to be completed, which will connect the area to the most important transportation routes in Europe”, said Jeroen Biermans, managing director of WDP Romania, according to CBRE study.
The rents for the industrial parks in Brasov reach EUR 4.5-6 for A class buildings. Usually, the contracts are signed for approx. three years for the already existing parks and for seven to ten years for the built-to-suit projects. (source: bzb.ro)
