In order to realize the investment, the land must be included in the urban area of Slatina.
According to a draft decision to be approved by the Local Council, a zonal urban plan will be developed for such change of designation of the plot, establishing an industrial functional area.

The land has an area of over 6 hectares and is located on the outskirts of Slatina, in the western part of the administrative territory of the municipality.

Pirelli will build a factory and a warehouse, along with other related units.

In 2016, Pirelli celebrated ten years of industrial presence in Romania and announced additional investments of about 200 million euros by 2021 in Slatina. When it is completed, the new investment plan will create new jobs and increase annual production capacity from 10 million to 15 million units.

The surface of the factory, which has benefited from the most advanced technologies for the production of automotive tire for the Premium segment mainly for Eastern European markets, will be extended to 260,000 square meters, from 210,000 square meters today. (source: zf.ro)
