Industrial production went up by 4% in the Eurozone and in the European Union in May over the same month in 2016.

The biggest increases in May were recorded in Romania (14.6%), Estonia (12.6%) and the Czech Republic (10.7%). The only drops happened in Malta and the UK, both with -0.7%.

Compared to the previous month, the industrial production rose by 1.2% in the European Union and by 1.3% in the eurozone in May.

The biggest quarterly increases in the industrial production in may were recorded in Lithuania (3.8%), Romania (3.5%) and the Czech Republic (3.3%), with the largest decreases registered in Portugal (-1%) and Malta (-0.9%). (source: Romania-insider.com)
