The industrial production grew by 2.1% in the Eurozone and by 1.7% in the European Union, according to the European Union’s statistical office Eurostat.

 

In Romania, the industrial production went down by -2.3%. Only Malta posted a bigger decline, with -5%. Ireland recorded the biggest growth in industrial production, namely 12.7%, followed by Estonia (4.9%), Croatia (3.2%) and Germany (2.9%).

 

Romania also posted one of the biggest industrial production declines in the EU compared to January 2015, of -1.7%. Only Malta (-8.9%), Netherlands (-3.9%), and Finland (-1.9%) had bigger drops.
