The turnover in the manufacturing industry went up by 2.7% while that in the extractive industry went down by 2.9%, according to data from the National Statistics Institute (INS).

 

The capital goods industry turnover went up by 7.9%, the durable goods industry increased its turnover by 6.2%, the intermediate goods industry went up by 4%, and the non-durable goods industry increased by 2.3%. The energy industry, however, reduced its turnover by 20.5%.

 

In September, the industry turnover went up by 16.8% compared to August and by 0.9% compared to the same month of last year.

 

The new orders in the manufacturing industry also went up by 2.9% in the first nine months of this year compared to the same period of 2014. The durable goods industry saw the highest increase in new orders, of 23.7%. (source: Romania-insider.com)
