The new factory, an investment of approximately EUR 45 million, will feature the most advanced technology in the field, with high-performance and automated lines, offering future employees a modern working environment with high-standard working conditions.
For Saint-Gobain, producing locally means producing sustainably, and the new investment, as well as the previous investments made in Romania, contribute to the significant reduction of the carbon footprint, both through the solutions offered that help improve the energy efficiency of buildings, and by reducing transport from other countries, which supports the Group's goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
Through this investment, Saint-Gobain reaffirms its mission and commitment to support the communities of which it is a part, being an international, but also multi-local company, fully integrated in the markets in which it operates to support their economic vitality and contribute to building a fairer and more sustainable, open and engaging world.
