The new Schweighofer unit became operative this mont, according to a group’s press release.
The entire production will be exported to Japan, according to the company, which signed an exclusive contract with the company Lamsell Corporation for sales on the Japanese market, Mediafax informs.
Holzindustrie Schweighofer has over 2,500 employees in Romania and operates four wood processing factories, in Radauti, Sebes, Siret and Comanesti, a fifth unit being scheduled for delivery in the first part of this year in Reci, Covasna county.
The group is present in Romania also in the hospitality, forestry, agriculture and electricity fields. Since 2012, when the group entered the Romanian market and up to present, Holzindustrie Schweighofer invested approx. EUR 630 million in its activities in Romania. To this, another EUR 150 million adds, representing the investment in the factory in Reci. (source: wall-street.ro)
