The new factory was built following EUR 50 million investments (own funds), on a plot of land with an area of 32 hectares.
The production unit in Turceni plays a strategic role both for Siniat Romania, covering 10 markets in South-Eastern Europe, but for the economic environment in Gorj county.
The annual production capacity of the factory in Turceni is 27 million sq. m, an equivalent of more than 1,000 km of highway.
Moreover, Siniat invested EUR 1million in the construction of a new road, connecting gthe factory to the national road, thus limiting the impact of the heavy vehicles over the local community.
Starting with the inauguration of the new factory and the construction of the new road, Siniat has developed an industrial platform and opens new perspectives for other investors in the area.
Siniat Romania is member of the ETEX group, one of the largest world producers and suppliers of quality materials and solutions for constructions, present in Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia and Oceania, with nearly 17,000 employees in 121 factories from 44 countries.
Siniat Romania, through its two factories in Bucharest and Aghireșu (Cluj county), is one of the local leaders in constructions solutions. The opening of the new factory, Turceni (Gorj), positions siniat as the only company using the gypsum resulted from the gas desulphurisation process in a thermoelectric plant, contributing thus to the major environment protection.
