The local tire market, which includes both the summer and the winter tire sales, was estimated at 2 million units last year, and gained some 20% this year, according to Alina Mihaescu, marketing director of Goodyear Dunlop CSEE, quoted by Wall-Street.ro.
Swiss cement producer Holcim increased its sales in Romania by 4.3% in the first nine months of this year compared to the same period of 2013, but the cement price declined by 1.1% in the same period, according to the group’s report.

Industrial production prices went down by 1.4% in the Eurozone and by 1.5% in the EU, in August 2014, compared to the same period in 2013, with the only increases recorded in Romania, Latvia and Sweden, show the data released on Thursday by the European Statistical Office (Eurostat).
