Romania's entry into the Schengen Area will bring numerous benefits for the local transport industry, including the elimination of border waiting time, and the increase of transport capacities and the number of orders, according to DSV Road, the third largest global provider of Transport and Logistics services in Europe. The company estimates that accession to Schengen will generate an average increase in business by 20%.
UPS recently announced plans to acquire Bomi Group, an industry-leading multinational healthcare logistics provider. The transaction will add temperature-controlled facilities in 14 countries and nearly 3,000 highly-skilled Bomi Group team members to the UPS Healthcare network in Europe and Latin America.

Raben Group, the European logistics operator, has signed an agreement to purchase 100% of shares of the Austrian company Bexity from its current owner, Mutares.
