The new factory will be open in Căteasca (Argeș county), where the group already opened a unit last year.
The first factory in Căteasca already has 500 employees.

Faurecia is partially owned by the group Peugeot Citroen, one of the largest car chairs and interiors suppliers in the world.

Present in Romania since 2003, Faurecia has opened factories in Tălmaciu (car chairs division), Craiova (emissions control technologies), Pitesti (interior systems) and in Râmnicu Vâlcea (textile and leather seat covers), opened in 2016 and considered the group’s most modern.

“Thanks to our successful experience in Romania, Faurecia decided to invest EUR 12 million in the most modern seat cover plant of the group, located in Ramnicu Valcea. The investment generated over 700 new jobs. Our objectives for the next period are to increase our production capacity in order to deliver over 280,000 covers this year, and to recruit some 600 new employees by 2017”, stated in September last year Hagen Wiesner, Executive Vice President, Faurecia Automotive Seating.
Faurecia Automotive Seating currently manufactures in Romania car parts for the brands Peugeot and Audi, mainly for the A4 model.

The group registered in 2015 total turnover of EUR 20.7 billion and more than 100,000 employees in its 330 factories and 30 research and development centres from 34 countries. (source: profit.ro)
