For this project, the German company has also received last year EUR 8.8 million state aid.

The investment project was stopped due to the difficulties of the company in the recruitment process and costs with personnel in the area, according to a release of the company. According to the company, EKR-Elektrokontakt România has contractual relations with a recruitment agent in the area, using the services to recruit people from Gorj county for its production units in Arad.

 

 

The local authorities told ZF they are not aware of the reason for the company gave up the project, saying that the lack of human resources is less probable. Salaries are high in the area, though, according to the vice-mayor of the city. (source: zf.ro)
