Industrial production prices for both the domestic and foreign market dropped 2 percent in January 2016 compared to the same month of the previous year, while in comparison with December 2015 the decline was 0.6 percent, shows data released on Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
"Compared with December 2015, in January this year industrial production prices overall (the domestic and foreign market) were 0.6 percent down. In a y-o-y comparison, January's industrial production prices overall were 2 percent lower," reads the INS release.
On the domestic market, prices decreased by 0.6 percent compared with December 2015, while on the foreign markets they decreased by 0.5 percent. Compared with January 2015 the decrease was 2.3 percent on the domestic market and 1.4 percent on the foreign market, respectively.
In the energy sector production prices were 2.5 percent down compared to December 2015 and 6.6 percent lower from January 2015; prices of intermediate goods dropped 3.5 percent compared to the similar period of 2015 and 0.3 percent from the previous month, while prices for the durable goods industry increased 2.9 percent in an annual comparison and 2.2 percent from the month before.
Prices in the FMCG industry were 2.2 percent higher in January 2016 from the same month of 2015 and 0.4 percent up compared to December 2015. The capital goods prices were 0.5 percent up y-o-y and 0.1 percent lower from December 2015. (Source: actmedia.eu)
