Secretary of State with the Economy Ministry Virgil Daniel Popescu, coordinator of the area of foreign trade and international relations, on Thursday, January 30, met the delegation of Parker Hannifin Manufacturing Ltd., the European Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, headed by Aaldert De Boes, European Division General Manager, and Martyn Heard, manager within the company.
‘The preliminary assessment carried out by the British company management for placing the new unit in Romania is aimed at the area of the Cluj-Napoca Municipality and its surroundings, Secretary of State Virgil Popescu having organised the visit of the British delegation to this area, where they will meet the County Council leadership and pay a visit to the technology park in the city, as well as the Tetrarom Industrial Park in Cluj County’s Jucu Commune,’ the release reads.
At the same time, the Economy Ministry official presented the business environment in Romania, its attractiveness to foreign investors and the support the possible investors enjoy both from the central governmental institutions and from the local authorities. During the discussions, the British delegation appreciated the existence of industrial parks, which provide an increased attractiveness to the interest areas for developing some investments.
