Currently, Saint-Gobain owns three production lines in Călărași, Romania, where over 250 people are employed, being one of the main production centres of the group in Europe.

Saint-Gobain also invested, in the end of 2015, EUR 1.65 million in new assembly line for the Rigips factory in Turda, Romania, financing supported by own funds and EU grants.

In Romania, Saint-Gobain operates 11 production units in eight industrial sites situated in Brașov, Brănești, Călărași, Ploiești, Satu-Mare, Tulcea, Turda and Suceava.
