Works on the 22.2 kilometers of highway from Nadlac to Pecica are handled by a consortium formed by Astaldi and Max Boegl Romania, who took over the construction works from Romstrade company in 2013, the construction works done up to that point representing 27 per cent. This section is the last in Romania, the westernmost, and will link the highway from the old Corridor IV (Nadlac-Arad-Timisoara-Lugoj-Deva-Sibiu) to the highways in Hungary and Western Europe.

So far this year Romania has inaugurated a single highway section, spanning 22 kilometers: section 3 of the Orastie-Sibiu highway which allows the uninterrupted use of 126 km of highway from Sibiu to Deva. This is the country’s third highway with a length that surpasses 100 km. (source: nineoclock.ro)
