Local company United Romanian Breweries Bereprod (URBB) currently owns the mineral water producer, which went into insolvency in February last year. URBB also produces the Tuborg beer brand in Romania.

Bilbor is a mineral water brand in the premium segment, with an estimated market value of EUR 5.3 million. The amount includes the brand, the license, the factory, the equipment and the stocks. In the case of a forced sale due to bankruptcy or liquidation, the brand’s value was estimated at EUR 3.45 million.

URBB representatives have confirmed the information.

“The creditors of Bilbor Mineral Water SRL, including URBB, were informed by CITR’s Bucharest branch, as liquidator, of the interest the company Tymbark has in taking over the Bilbor business,” according to URBB.

The Bucharest branch of Casa de Insolventa Transilvania (CITR) is the judicial administrator of Bilbor. (source: Romania-insider.com)
