Dutch CTP, one of the largest developers and owners of logistics spaces in Romania, plans to exceed the milestone of 1 million square metres logistics spaces in the following two years, which means to triple the current area locally.
Belgian real estate developer WDP will build a new factory in Braila, east of Romania, for the Japanese car parts producer Yazaki. The investment amounts to EUR 14 million, according to the developer’s Q1 financial report.
Ian Worboys, the head of P3, the owner of the largest logistics and industrial park on the local market, acquired last year, P3 Bucharest (former Europolis Logistic Park), says that the company will continue to develop projects, the west of the country being the main target, due to the automotive industry developed in the area.

Belgian company Vabeld will develop an warehouse exceeding 25,000 sq. m for the online retailer Fashion Days, which will be built by AIC Industrial&Logistic Development on the land bought by Vabeld near the A1 highway Bucharest-Pitesti.
Real estate developer WarehousesDePauw (WDP) has four industrial parks in development in Romania, in Brăila, Sibiu (2) and Râmnicu Vâlcea, with a total area of 40,500 sq. m, with investments of nearly EUR 25 million.
Romania’s logistics sector has come under the spotlight this year, after going down during the crisis years. It is now considered the second best investment sector, after the office market. Five developers control half of the total logistics spaces built in Romania.
