We have talked to the Sales Representative of such a company in Ploiesti, Bogdan Bădiță, in order to find out how these companies were adapting to the increased demand for new industrial space in Southern Romania.
For how long has your company been present on the market, and how did you reach this collateral business of warehouse renting?
Chircu Prod-Impex SRL has been on the market for 22 years and the decision to sell / lease these warehouses was made due to the company's change of strategy and as a result of this change, these properties were no longer needed in the business.
How would you describe the warehouse request in Ploiesti area?
Prahova area is considered as the best zone in Romania considering logistic facilities and the request is selective, as the largest supermarkets in Romania have their logistics hubs here and the largest oil companies are also carrying their activities in this area, as well as other large companies within almost all ranges of activity.
What are the main types of industrial spaces requests in the area (storage, production, logistics, retail etc.)?
I believe most of the requests in this area are for storage, logistics, as well as for production.
What are in your opinion the main advantages of the southern zone of Romania, comparing to other zones of the country, in terms of industrial and logistics investments?
I think the infrastructure is the main advantage of the southern zone, comparing to other zones, as here are present all three highways (A1, A2, A3), the port of Constanta, one of the largest ports in Europe, as well as the largest airport in Romania and the capital city, Bucharest, the most important financial centre of the country.
What are the most important facilities your warehouse is offering to tenants choosing the zone of Ploiesti?
The strategic location, being very close to Bucharest and as said above, the excellent infrastructure, with a highway, the only national road connecting Moldova being at few hundred metres from the property and a railway across the road from the warehouse. Moreover, the workforce is qualified and highly specialized in this area and not least, a great support from the local authorities.
What type of companies to you target? What is the maximum and minimum area for rent?
Our warehouses target a very wide range of clients, as they could be used for production activities, storage, as well as for logistics, having all the facilities needed for carrying out any of these activities. The minimum area for rent is 1,000 square metres and the maximum is 2,813 sqm, but it could also reach up to 12,000 sqm.
Do you have expansion plans for the warehouse in the near future or other development projects planned/ongoing?
Yes, our company considers new future developments.
