On the other hand, Dan Sova, Minister Delegate for Infrastructure Projects, stated Sunday in Iasi that Moldova will be linked both to Transylvania, via Iasi-Targu Mures highway, and central Romania, via Bacau-Brasov highway. Both construction projects will probably be initiated in 2015 and work for the stretch of highway between Iasi and Targu Neamt could be concluded by mid-2017, he added.

“Our objective is to connect Moldova both to Transylvania through the Iasi-Targu Mures highway, and to central Romania through Bacau-Brasov highway. The latter will be carried out with regional development funds and the project will be awarded sometime in mid-2015. No feasibility studies have been conducted for that project, so there will be a bid. The project will be awarded in 2015,” Dan Sova stated. The Brasov-Bacau highway will be extended to Iasi, he concluded. (Source: nineoclock.ro)
