Thus, net income of the company reached RON 444.01 million in 2015, going up 8.9 percent over the RON 408.12 million registered in 2014.

 

The net profits were also above the levels registered the year before, standing at RON 12.62 million in 2015.

 

“This year we will continue the strategy to sustain profitable growth by a figure. We remain focused on the traditional Albalact brand, but we are planning other innovations on the yogurt segment, most likely in the second half of the year. We will also continue to expand and optimize the distribution activity,” said Stephane Batoux, general director of Albalact.

 

In January this year Albalact majority shareholders have sold their 70.3 percent cumulated stake to French dairy giant Lactalis, pending approval by the Competition Council. Lactalis announced its intention of launching a public offer for the remaining shares in the company, aiming to own 100 percent of Albalact.
