This expansion represents an increase in production capacity by up to 50%. The development of the factory in Roman also generates an increase in the number of jobs, reaching 150 employees in just three years.
The new production unit, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and advanced industrial technologies, will allow the German company AMF-Bruns to efficiently respond to the growing demands of the market, as well as to develop new products, both for the conveyor division - transport systems for the sugar, wood or grain industry, as well as for the mobility industry. The expansion of the factory includes modern equipment, automatic production control systems, sustainable solutions, logistics and storage.
"The investment from Roman is a proof of the company's commitment to the development and quality of the products, at the same time consolidating the position it has in the industry, at the global level. With a significant investment and a sustained effort from the whole team, we managed to complete the construction of the new hall in a short time to be able to offer 50 new jobs in the community and high quality solutions to our customers around the world", said Nicolae Slavnea, general director of AMF-Bruns Romania.
On the occasion of the event in Roman, Jan Woltermann, Managing Director within AMF-Bruns, emphasized the support given by the local authorities in carrying out the investment, but also the quality of the employees working in the factory in Roman: "We are very satisfied with the decision to invest to Roman. We have an excellent management team in place who make decisions according to our vision and to high standards. We have been able to recruit truly outstanding and highly qualified employees for our company and have consistently found the right qualified staff for each phase of growth. One more thing is essential for us: colleagues here develop products of outstanding quality, and quality is so important to us because it allows us to meet the demands of our international customers and we are also competitive for those customers. As a result, we continue to grow and we are in the situation of needing to produce more, much more, at AMF-Bruns Romania, than we anticipated three years ago".
The investments in the objective from Roman were directed both for the purchase of the land and the erection of the construction, as well as for the installation of equipment adapted to the requirements of AMF-Bruns customers. Today, the factory in Roman has a total production area of 6,600 square meters, located on a plot of 25,000 square meters. The products that leave the factory in Roman are made according to the processes and procedures created and tested in the research unit located in the headquarters in Germany.
