Emerson recently signed a 10-year lease for a space in a newly built location in Urbano Parks, where the company's Appleton business unit will be relocated. Appleton is currently operating in the Emerson Cluj location in the Tetarom II industrial park. The new leased location for Appleton includes approximately 6,000 sqm for offices and production activities, providing more space than the current location.

"By relocating Appleton to the new location, we offer a newer and larger space to meet the needs of Appleton customers. At the same time, we want to prepare the space vacated after the move for future business growth opportunities ", said Alina Negru, general manager of Emerson Cluj.

The relocation of the Appleton headquarters will start in October and it is estimated that it will be ready by the end of 2020. All Appleton Cluj employees will be transferred to the new location. Appleton is a global manufacturer of electrical components and lighting products for industrial and hazardous environments.

Emerson has over 2,700 employees in Cluj-Napoca, and the total value of the investments Emerson has made in Cluj since 2006 is $ 150 million.
