Total investments volume in 2015 was EUR 53.75 million. Apart the development of its branches in Central and Eastern Europe, Gebrüder Weiss expanded its activity in Asia. The company has opened a new logistics terminal in Singapore.

The logistics expert has approached the online retail in constant growth, developing consolidated solutions of eFulfillment in several countries in Central and Eastern Europe. Within this expansion process, Gebrüder Weiss has developed its home delivery services (B2C), adding to its cargo handling services with two employees (two-man handling) and furniture assembling services, becoming market leader in Austria.

Overall, its turnover registered in the field of ground transport and logistics services has increased with 3.9 pct., reaching the value of EUR 857.7 million. Air & Sea division has registered in 2015 a growth of 2 pct, up to EUR 293.9 million. The turnover in the fields of parcels (KEP) and New Business has increased with one percent.

In 2016, Gebrüder Weiss intends to consolidate its leader position in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as along the former Silk Road, to China and the markets overseas. (Source: intermodal-logistic.ro)
