They accounted for almost 4% of Romania’s total exports, reports local Ziarul Financiar.

In the first six months of this year, the furniture exports represented 56.4% of the total timber products exported, compared to raw timber exports, which had a share of 13.3%.

By comparison, the exports of raw timber amounted to 16.5% in 2015. This “represents a good thing for Romania”, as more products with a value added are exported, said Aurica Sereny, APMR president.
