“We have advanced the analysis for opening a production unit with non-reimbursable funds and we will announce additional details this year. It is an investment that we want to finance within the project announced by the Romanian Government to support local production of construction materials, the ConstructPlus program, which has allocated 150 million euros in the first year. We are working with a consultant to finalize all the necessary documents. We want to expand our presence in a new sales channel, with a new product, manufactured by us,” says Irinel Gheorghe, CEO and majority shareholder of Sipex, who did not specify what this factory would produce.

In order to implement this plan, the company purchased a plot of land of almost 75,000 square meters last year in the commune of Ariceştii Rahtivani in Prahova County, a real hub of production and logistics activities for numerous companies. Sipex’s headquarters are already located there.
