The new location consolidates under the same roof the logistics operations of SLS Cargo around Bucharest.

”The location of the new SLS Cargo storage center in one of the most dynamic logistics and industrial areas in Romania, right next to the A1, is part of the company's strategy to offer the best services to customers in Bucharest and its surroundings. P3 Bucharest A1 is the perfect choice for the SLS due to its strategic position and the possibility of further expansion. Also, the owner's flexibility and the quality of the buildings were very important criteria for SLS Cargo in the process of identifying the best solution to consolidate its logistics operations", said Mihai Escu, JLL Romania Industrial Department consultant, who represented SLS in the transaction.

The logistics services company SLS Cargo started operations in 2014 by opening its first operational office in Bucharest. In 2015, the company's activity developed by opening two new locations in Rădăuţi and Constanţa, followed in 2016 by the inauguration of the first SLS Cargo warehouse in Bucharest.
With the formation of a new team, 2017 also meant the opening of the first railway terminal in Bucharest operated exclusively by SLS Cargo. In 2018, the company opened its first offices in Bulgaria and Italy. Last year, SLS Cargo consolidated its position as a player on the transport and logistics services market, operating 25,000 sq m of storage space in 4 locations in Mogoşoaia, Bâcu, Buftea and Cluj. In 2020, FAN Courier, the most important courier company in Romania, became the main shareholder of SLS Cargo, by taking over the majority stake.

The trend of consolidating logistics operations in order to optimize the supply chain with retail networks continues to be quite intense in the local industrial market, thus offering the possibility to see similar transactions in the future.

The total demand for industrial and logistics spaces in Romania in the first half of 2020 reached almost 269,000 sqm, just over 260,000 sqm reported in the first half of 2019. Retailers were the most active tenants, followed by logistics companies.

"We are very happy to welcome SLS Cargo in P3 Bucharest A1 Park. It is a privilege to start a collaboration with an entrepreneurial and dynamic company and we are ready to offer our full support for the development of the expanding business. SLS Cargo has fully leased one of the reference buildings in our park, which, together with the platform around it, fits very well with the company's current operations. I thank JLL for the professionalism and support in concluding this transaction ", said Sînziana Pardhan, Managing Director of P3 Romania.

P3 Bucharest A1 is the largest multifunctional park in Bucharest, with 380,000 sqm developed in 14 buildings, a high voltage station, a railway terminal, as well as an additional land that allows the development of another 100,000 square meters of additional space. Located near Chiajna commune, approximately 13 kilometers west of the center of Bucharest, the park offers direct access to the A1 highway - part of the pan-European corridor IV, which will connect Bucharest with western Romania. It is close to the Bucharest ring road, which allows direct access to all six sectors of the city, to Henri Coandă International Airport (22 km) and the A2 motorway.
