'Our new production unit became operational since March this year and the first products executed include mortars for flooring, impermeability and SikaHome adhesives', has declared Laurenţiu Ştefănescu, general manager Sika Romania, at the inauguration of the production unit.

According to him, Sika Romania bought last year from the company Deutek a warehouse of 2,000 sq. m, with storage and office spaces situated in a land of 20,000 sq. m , as well as equipments including two production lines completely automated. All the equipments benefited from a series of investments in order to reach Sika quality standards.

The company’s representative also said that the decision of a brownfield investment was taken as this factory corresponded to the company’s demands, as well as the Greenfield type investment would have involved a longer period before being operational. (source: economica.net)
