Deloitte Romania advised TeraPlast Group, the largest Romanian producer of construction materials, in the sale of its steel division to the Irish group Kingspan, global leader in insulation and building envelope solutions, which was already present on the Romanian market.
P3 Logistic Parks (“P3”) has signed a lease agreement with Interbrands Marketing & Distribution for 24,830 square meters of logistics and office space in the P3 Bucharest A1 park. Interbrands has been a customer of the park since 2006 and has decided to move to a larger warehouse that can accommodate Orbico Group's expansion for operations in Romania. On this occasion, Interbrands also begins the implementation of an extensive logistics automation project in the new warehouse.
The retailer Profi rented over 100,000 sq m in two warehouses that will be built by the Belgian operator WDP in Timişoara (58.000 sqm) and Craiova (57.000 sqm), investments valued at 70 million euros, part of the strategy to expand logistics operations.
Dunwell Romanian company TeraPlast will occupy an area of 5,000 sqm (1,500 sqm of warehouse and 3,500 of external platform) in the warehouse of Mega Distribution Center, in Chiajna.
Reff & Associates, the law firm representing Deloitte Legal global network in Romania, provided legal assistance to the Dutch financial holding Forum Serdika, owned by the British investment fund East Balkan Properties plc, in the sale of its industrial park Equest Logistic to CTP, the real estate developer and long-term manager of industrial and logistics parks in Romania and Central and Eastern Europe. The transaction was signed in March 2020 for a value of approximately EUR 30 million
The volume of real estate investments in Romania in 2019 exceeded the limit of one billion euros, totaling about 1.06 billion euros, up 7% from the level recorded in 2018, data from the research department of the real estate consultancy company CBRE Romania shows.
Global commercial real estate leaders are optimistic about the industry’s prospects over the coming year, despite global economic volatility, according to Deloitte 2020 Commercial Real Estate Outlook. 76 percent of respondents expect a positive evolution of the industry in the next period. The survey shows that that the tenant experience has become a top priority for most commercial real estate leaders, with a focus on investment in new technologies.
CTPark Bucharest is gladly hosting a new resident, FAN Courier, starting in September. The company has rented an area of approx. 2,000 sqm in the park in one of the recently launched small business units Premium Business Units, which is aimed at entrepreneurs and companies who want to have complete services at hand in the park and benefit from modern spaces between 1,000 and 3,000 sqm.
