The installed photovoltaic system generates a production of approximately 600,000 KWh annually, and the energy generated represents approximately 60% of the consumption of the logistics park's tenants, contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions by an amount of 300,000 kg/year of CO2.
Ensuring green energy sources and measures to reduce the impact on the environment represent, in the current climate context, a priority for the developer Sofimat and these objectives are taken into account from the design stage of its parks. Thus, the entire lighting system within the parks is made with LED systems, the heating systems are intelligent and work with heat pumps, the roof is insulated with 20 cm thick basalt wool, and the wall closures are made with basalt mineral wool panels.
“The installation of photovoltaic panels within Sofimat Logistic Park Ghimbav was a strategic and profitable decision, in line with the company’s ecological and economic objectives, and we encourage the entire industry to adopt such energy generation options.” said the company’s administrator, Mr. Liviu Tacu.
