In the context where the volume of deliveries made by the courier company in these counties increased by over 28% at the end of last year, compared to the same period in 2023, SAMEDAY invested over 21 million lei in the new operational hub, with the objective of streamlining logistics processes and improving the delivery experience.

49,000 parcels processed on the busiest day
The new logistics center was configured to allow the integration of automatic and manual sorting lanes, which ensure the fluidity of parcel processing. The space, developed by SOFIMAT LOGISTIC PARK Ghimbav, is equipped with an automated sorter, which can manage up to 7,000 parcels weighing up to 20 kilograms per hour.
The center is also equipped with a manual lane for atypical parcels, which reaches up to 1,200 parcels per hour. Automated sorting systems classify each parcel according to destination and priority and increase the productivity of the logistics center. The existing facilities allowed the processing of 49,000 parcels on the busiest day. At the same time, the logistics flows were optimized to minimize processing time.
The Ghimbav logistics center is equipped with 17 euro-ramps for loading and unloading activities and 3 drive-in gates. The areas dedicated to each stage of parcel processing are arranged for a clear organization and a fluid process in order to accelerate the shipment of parcels to their final destinations.
