The company’s net profit rose by 20% to almost EUR 100 million.

 

The car sales abroad accounted for most of the sales, reaching EUR 2.3 billion, up by 0.45% year-on-year. However, the sales abroad dropped by 2% last year whereas the domestic sales went up by 25%.

 

The company produced 339,233 cars last year. The most popular model was Dacia Duster II, with almost 169,500 units. Dacia Logan II, Dacia Logan MCV II, Dacia Sandero Stepway, Dacia Sandero II, and Dacia Duster came next.

 

The total sales amounted to 339,179 units. The Duster model accounted for 50.2% of the sales.

 

The company also produced over 1 million CKD (complete knock-down) kits which were exported to be assembled in Renault group’s factories abroad. The CKD sales totaled EUR 1.36 billion, down by 3.36% compared to 2015.
