The evolution of the Romanian industrial market in the first nine months of the year confirms analysts' expectations regarding the possibility of setting a new historical record by the end of 2022, thus continuing an upward trajectory started in 2018.

CTP, the largest listed developer and manager of industrial and logistics spaces in Continental Europe, is expanding its collaboration with Cargus, one of the largest courier companies in Romania, in CTPark Oradea Cargo Terminal. The courier company, already present in the CTP portfolio, is the first to sign a lease contract, for an area of 3,400 sq m, in the only industrial park in Romania that with air cargo terminal.
Almost 50% of the warehousing surfaces for which lease contracts were signed in 2022 were transacted during July – September of this year. Daniel Cautiș, managing partner Dunwell, says that the growth in Q3 is significant: 312.285 sqm in just 3 months, while in the first 6 months of the year, 315.552 sqm were signed.
The CCC Group, the Polish footwear retailer, is expanding its logistics center in the WDP Ștefăneștii de Jos park to serve the online retailers epantofi.ro and Modivo. The new warehouse will become a regional center dedicated to Romania, Bulgaria and Greece, markets from which the group hopes to achieve 80 percent of its total revenues.
Cargus is the new tenant of Globalworth and Global Vision in Constanța Business Park, one of the largest business parks in Southeast Europe. The courier company is consolidating its operations in a class A, ambient warehouse unit, having an area of 2,800 square meters, which also includes an office space of 250 square meters.
Globalworth and CATTED announce a new tenant for the Stefanesti Business Park project. Sameday, one of the leaders of the Romanian courier service market, has signed a 7-years contract for an area of around 2,600 square metres.
Approximately half of million sqm of logistics spaces was leased in Romania in the first semester of the year, according to the Romania Market Outlook 2022 research mid-year report, launched by CBRE Romania, the leader of the real estate consultancy market. The total leasing activity during H1 2022 is 38% higher than the amount transacted in the same period last year.
