The ceremony took place on 7th of December and CTP won ‘Best Warehouse Development and Developer of the Year’ award for the 100,000 m² GLA that were delivered this year in CTPark Bucharest West and ‘Best Leadership of the Year’ award as a recognition of Mrs. Ana Dumitrache activity as Co-Country Head of CTP Romania.
These awards mark the end of a year in which CTP was extremely active on the market and had the fastest development pace since its entry on the local market. The company plans to reach a total leasable area of approximately 1 million m² in Romania by the end of 2018. In 2017 CTP delivered 100,000 m² GLA in CTPark Bucharest West comprised in three class A warehouses leased to numerous clients: Quehenberger Logistics, Tibbett Logistics, KLG Europe Logistics Romania, Geodis, NOD etc. CTPark Bucharest West is prominently located at kilometre 23 west of Bucharest city centre with direct access to A1 motorway and developed in a spectacular rhythm in terms of total surface and growth rate. This property was designed to become the largest logistics and industrial park in Eastern Europe with a built area projected to reach 700,000 m² by 2020. The three awarded warehouses offer the highest quality standards and green technologies and are another important step in CTPark Bucharest West’s path to becoming a strategic park for the Romanian economy through the support offered for significant investments in the area, both foreign and local.
The second distinction recognizes the activity of Mrs. Ana Dumitrache, Co-Country Head of CTP Romania since October 2016. Under her supervision, CTP registered significant accomplishments: in 2017, the company’s national portfolio grew with 73% and reached more than 700,000 m2 of logistics and industrial spaces; the vacancy rate of the spaces ready to be leased is under 3%; new leasing agreements were signed in 7 parks with new tenants and also existing clients that expanded their activity. In the year that has passed since she manages CTP in Romania, Mrs. Dumitrache focused on strengthening the company’s position as the industrial parks developer with the largest portfolio of logistics spaces in Romania and also on the constant growth of the company. CTP purchased two logistics properties near Bucharest and other two in key locations in the Western part of the country and started expansion works for its parks in Timisoara and Cluj-Napoca. The financing agreement closed with the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and BCR in July represent another highlight point in Mrs. Dumitrache’s activity.
Other initiative that Mrs. Dumitrache has been leading is the project dedicated to supporting the workforce market in the areas near the parks owned by CTP in the West of Bucharest. CTP organizes a series of meetings between soon-to-be high school graduates and tenants from CTPark Bucharest and CTPark Bucharest West. The main benefit of this program would be the development of the local community by encouraging the youth in these areas to remain here and to work close to home for serious and stable companies.
„We are honoured to receive these awards that represent a wonderful recognition of our team’s hard work. CTPark Bucharest West had and extraordinary development from all points of view and is yet another proof that we are a partner that our clients can depend on and with whom they can build a strong and successful partnership. In what concerns me, after a long career on the banking industry I joined CTP convinced that this will be the beginning of a great journey and I was right. 2017 was a year of intense activity and projects implemented with passion that offered us many satisfactions. I wish for 2018 to be as busy and as beautiful for CTP Romania”, stated Mrs. Dumitrache.
